1. How many days a week should I come to boot camp?
Your workout at boot camp will work all the major major muscle groups at each class, it is best to not do back to back boot camp sessions so you can allow the muscles proper time to rest and recover. However, we have now added a Tues and Thursday Cardio Boot Camp class so participants can come everyday if they would like. Cardio can be done everyday and the cardio class is very beneficial to helping you reach your goals.
2. What kind of results should I expect to see?
This is a tough question, everyone’s body responds differently and at different times. It is advised to follow the nutrition tips and come consistently to class to see the best results. We prefer to measure your success by inches lost rather than the number on the scale. A boot camp class can burn anywhere from 400-700 calories depending on the participant.
3. What about inclement weather?
We very rarely have to cancel class. We will workout in light rain but in cases of heavy rain or storms classes will be cancelled. If you are a participant at a location that only offers 3 days a week, a makeup class will be scheduled. Class cancellations will be announced through email. There are no refunds for class cancellations.
4. What if I am not in shape?
You do not need to be in great shape to start Bethany’s Bikini Boot Camp. We will meet you where you are. Everyone is encouraged to begin at her own fitness level and modifications will be given for exercises. While we encourage you to progress at your own pace, we also expect for you to push yourself to work harder than you would on your own. We do want to take you out of your comfort zone and push you to reach your goals and to accomplish things that you never thought you could. We want to teach you to believe in yourself and to take control of your life.
5. What do I need to bring?
You need to bring:
a set of hand weights (no lower than 5lbs a piece)
Mat
Jump rope
water
We prefer you bring 2 sets of weights if you can, a heavier set and the lighter set. For example, a set of 5lb weights and a set of 8lb weights. Some exercises you will need heavier weights and some you will need lighter. Buy weights that have squared off edges rather than round.
6. What kind of exercises will we do?
Our workout changes each time that you come to class. You can expect an interval style of training in which you are speeding up and slowing down throughout the class. We do exercises such as jogging, sprinting, plyometrics, push-ups, dips, squats, lunges, mountain climbers, jump rope, bicep curls, shoulder press, crunches, plank, stair climbing, jumping jacks, plus many more. Our workouts are designed by trainers who are former boot campers so they know what it is like to be in your shoes. Each workout is designed to burn maximum amount of calories while also toning and sculpting the body.
